The first ever encounter I ever had as a little girl with a pearl was through the famous painting by Johannes Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring painting during a school trip at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Where most of my schoolmates were busy discussing the facial expression of the girl, I only had eyes for the beautiful glistening pearl hanging from her ear.
Coming Full Circle
There are moments in life where you simply feel things have come to a full circle. It’s like the puzzle pieces have somehow fallen into place and you start to see the bigger picture of what you’ve been working towards creating all those years. Being back in Amsterdam this time has certainly done that for me.
